The Joliet area registered a high of 68 degrees and a low of 55 degrees in the past twenty four hours with rain tonight and tomorrow expected.
Joliet's June 3 1902 flood claimed a victim in Plainfield as Wr. Davis succumbed to fever after exposure to floodwaters. Davis, 30, married to Tildachtgren, had worked at the McKenna flour mill and stayed in the flood zone to monitor waters. He died after a period of typhoid and malaria symptoms, with funeral planned in Plainfield tomorrow at 2 o'clock.
The North End Itali Republican sub was organized today at 501 Her Avenue with over 400 signatories. Officers include President N Di Suorens and Vice President Gregorioto vidio, Secretary Angeloca NSurer John Roma, and Chairman Anton MC Marchise. Kansas City reports the Missouri river at thirty five feet after a four foot four inch rise in the night. Rain and cold drizzle continue. Seven known dead at dawn. twenty two others believed drowned. Bridges to the outside world remain, fires out in flooded areas, business suspended. Merchants cannot receive or ship foods. stock yards nearly inaccessible by water.

Albert Williams, a pin boy at the Seventh Ward Bowling Club, was thrown during a bout with a fellow youth. His leg twisted under him and broke. He was taken to his home at 411 Oscar Avenue for care.

Mrs Ervin Geist gave a hearts party at her Western avenue home last Saturday at five in honor of Miss Anna Mclean. Score cards featured wedding belts. Mrs Geist, newly married, proved an gracious hostess.
Arguments for and against continuance of the trial of Curtis Jett and Tom White, alleged murderers of City Attorney Marcus, began this morning in Jackson Kentucky. The prisoners were brought into court by soldiers with no trouble reported overnight.
