The Republican club of the Ninth precinct will meet Thursday evening at Jones store on Walnut street. All members are urged to attend as matters of importance are to be discussed.

A midnight fire at Oakdell park near Monee destroyed the pavilion, valued at 2500 with no insurance. The Mo nee Amusement company promoters offer a 200 reward for tips leading to arrests. A stockholders meeting is called to decide next steps for the park’s future.

He was adjudged a common wage bond and sent to county jail for thirty days after exploiting sympathy with a fake lame arm. several west side women were frightened by his demands. Poisoner in City’s West Side Believed Active

Police seek the dog poisoner blamed for multiple canine deaths and sickened owners in a fashionable western district. A collie named Rover belonging to D. R. Anderson fell ill after ingesting poison meat, with Raymond Anderson and his mother nursing him back to health. Dozens of dogs have fallen ill or died over two months as investigators pursue the culprit.

Auto Runs Down Youth on Chicago Street

Clarence Johnston 309 Northern avenue was badly hurt when a George H. Munroe automobile struck his bicycle at Chicago and Jefferson streets at 7 o clock. He suffered internal injuries along with scrapes and bruises. the bicycle was wrecked. Police were informed and Patrolman McCraney investigated. the chauffeur was placed in charge of the machine.

City attorney MF Henzebry of Wilmington was robbed at Gil Alton depot while waiting for a train. His pocket book with $4 and a railroad ticket was taken. he discovered the loss after boarding his train.
