Robert Graves 75 a prominent local resident and former town assessor was thrown from his buggy when a heavily loaded gasoline speeder on the Elgin Joliet Eastern Gardner branch struck the crossing near Electric Park. Graves suffered a fractured skull and head injuries with delirium and possible brain pressure.
