Lone Robber Holds Up Saloons With Revolver
A lone masked robber entered the Fenolio saloon at Center and McDonough streets at 5 23 this morning. He forced the proprietor and a customer to back behind the bar, grabbed the cash drawer containing about $15, fired two shots, and escaped. Police offered no clues. the drawer is missing and may have been dumped in the canal. The incident occurred on pay day at nearby mills, suggesting a reason for the cash on hand.
