Attorneys Clash In Circuit Court Over Cross Examination

In Chicago the attorneys for Tony Castelano and the Chicago and Joliet Electric Railway clash in Circuit Court before Judge Marshall. Jury Rules Not Guilty In Motorman Personal Injury Case

The jury found John May, a Chicago & Joliet Electric Railway motorman, not guilty in his personal injury suit against the Elgin Joliet & Eastern Railroad Co. This was the third trial after two hung juries. The first trial occurred in September 1906 before Judge Hooper and the second in January 1907 before Judge Dibell. Further action is undecided.

Calvin Charged With Wife Abandonment

William Calvin, 67, living on a house boat near Patterson's dock, was arrested on a state warrant and released on 250 bond. The case, involving his wife who left six months ago with goods, was continued to January 21 at the request of both sides. Calvin runs a county fair merry-go-round in summer.
