Bold theft shocks Braidwood shoppers at Jillson's store
In Braidwood on Thursday night Wm Tenvell John Dixon and Ann Todd were arraigned for petit larceny after three sacks of flour were stolen from Jillson's display. Authorities found a barrel of flour at Ann Todd's alley house and samples with Gold Medal branding. Tenvell and Dixon were fined 50 dollars each plus costs and jailed for nonpayment while Todd remained free on good behavior. Neighbors complain to mayor about the back alley operation run by Todd. John F Fedde a prominent Peotone leader and Joliet native died after typhoid fever at his Peotone home. He was 1857 born and survived by widow mother and brother.
