Claude W. Becker of Lockport was arrested on charges of rifling mail and stealing money and checks after an investigation led by his wife. He confessed to multiple thefts and is held to a federal grand jury in 2500 dollars bond. A Chicago woman is said to be an associate, with letters and funds taken from packages opened at a South Side flat. Becker admits stealing mail during transit on the Chicago & Northwestern Railway and cashing an express money order, with pay cited at 1100 dollars a year.
