Johanna Mikolic killed her brother in a T20 save for her husband during a bitter family feud. The Wilmington incident occurred Friday April 7 with the family staying at the Vencur boarding house on Meeker Avenue.
In Forest Park a man named John Soni was shot dead by his sister Mrs. Johanna Mikolretic after a family feud. Police, led by Sergeant Arthur Scully and Detective George Mason, arrested Paul Mikoletic, Joseph Zaletel, and Tomaz Soni as investigations proceed toward a coroner’s inquest and preliminary hearing tomorrow.
Marshal Becket reports a horse and buggy stolen from James Boyd is in the possession of Frank Anderson with Wade French as a suspect. Captain Murphy and Lt Connors proceed to Chicago for hearings while Chief McMasters and local detectives pursue warrants, aiming to bring Wade French to trial.

Arthur Yack of 301 Ruby Street died at St Joseph hospital from a bullet wound after a Sunday night holdup. Coroner Noel ordered a jury and an inquest to begin next Monday. May Preston, present at the scene, was questioned again with no new details. Funeral arranged for 107 Summit Street.
Walter Yates of the Maeker and Royce avenues corner was thrown from a buggy after turning from Collins street into Chase avenue this morning. He lies in a hospital with severe injuries but De V. J. Cohenour reports he will recover.
Mrs. Mareno accuses Paul Moreno of repeated threats to kill her and children and of refusing support. After driving wife Candy and the children from their Hay Meeker avenue home he taunted officers and warned against interference. He will be arraigned before Police Magistrate Allench with neighbors secured as witnesses.
L D Stokes of Joliet died from injuries after falling from a freight car near Nemo Tennessee while accompanying a shipment of household goods. He was en route to Gold Hill North Carolina to manage mine shipments for J W Ducker. The body was sent to Joliet and his father was notified.
A second young woman accused of loitering on downward paths was arrested at 1 AM after prolonged street presence. Identified as Elizabeth Leppine from Manhattan village, she was booked as a vagrant and arraigned before Police Magistrate Allen. She claimed blackmail by a male companion who holds an item used to coerce payments. The court admonished her and released her after promising to reform.
Last night the city council approved the annual tax levy totaling 95 931 for city purposes with 80 000 set for specific appropriations. The ordinance authorizes certification of amounts to the county and allocates funds to fire protection, street work, electric services, street lighting, water, and park maintenance among others.
