A rich trade field in Africa offers a two hundred million dollar yearly market for American producers with potential division with Britain. Cotton goods iron coal provisions and manufactured articles are in demand. Britain holds about 157 million of the trade while the United States accounts for 33 million.

Mrs William Stewart wife of Nevada Senator Stewart was killed in Alameda California when a car ran into a telegraph pole. The vehicle swerved to avoid another, Taylor and Henry Foote injured slightly. Stewart later shown at The Hague arbitration case linked to the Catholic Church of Lower California.
The bodies of Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Fair arrived in San Francisco and were interred today in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Services were simple and attended by related intimate friends only. Two lives and a few others were noted in the final rites.

Oyster Bay, Sept 12 Gen Jas S Clarkson guest at luncheon and reception preparations at Sagamore Hill. Theodore Roosevelt Jr returning from a hunting trip was met by Archie and Kermit Roosevelt at the station and said his trip was antici pated with no accidents or gun misfires.
Mayor Brouse reports to Secretary Cortelyou that Indiana will host the president’s Sept 28 trip with about thirty on the party list including Senators Fairbanks Beveridge Governor Durbin and Representatives Landis Steele and others. Plan calls for a reception at the Pennsylvania depot and a courthouse square rally with a parade through downtown to view the procession, as crowds gather from nearby towns. Train expected 8 55 a m. large turnout anticipated and committees kept active for a record crowd.
