Home Dressmaking Hints by May Manton
Simple sacque nightgowns are favored for ease and material efficiency. They stay cool due to lack of upper fullness and can be dressed up with lace frills or fine needlework. The model shown suits cambric muslin nainsook long cloth and similar fabrics with options for lace or embroidery trimming and uses long cloth with Valenciennes sleeve bands without a yoke facing.

Lawyers Fees Question Sparked by Plant Estate Case
A New York Times discussion pits a renowned lawyer and a physician on legal fees. The Plant estate, about forty million, could yield roughly 1 090 000 in lawyer charges, yet the doctor notes the surgeon’s bill would not be similarly justified. The lawyer claims court-set fees. The physician quips that lawyers have solved self preservation while doctors preserve others.
