McPartlin Dominates Minneaplis In One Hit Loss

McPartlin held Minneapolis to a single hit and no runs as Indianapolis defeated them seven innings into a slow game. Eight of the putouts came from the Hoosier outfield, while Stimmel excelled on the mound. The contest featured strong fielding and a lone eighth inning run when Coulter lined a three-base hit off Stimmel. Attendance 1,510. Milwaukee beat Toledo later as Allemany’s curvework and Elliott’s pitching pace kept Toledo from mounting a serious rally.
