Corbetts liquor license revoked by New York court
In New York on June 5 Justice Freedman revoked pugilist James J. Corbett’s liquor tax certificate after a report by referee Alfred Page in an Anti-saloon League action. Corbett denied violations and claimed the license was held in his manager’s name Frank Phillips. Salt will seek double the bond per the court action.
