Fashionable Summer Fashions From New Raleigh and Bernhardt Sleeves
The New Raleigh and Bernhardt sleeve styles set the pace for summer gowns and coats. Silks, foulards, lace, and guipure lace bands decorate bodices, skirts, and belts, with Empire coats, redingotes, and Connemara dust cloaks in mohair and satin-finished fabrics. Trim details include velvet ribbons, beads, and delicate French and English textiles, while collars shift toward moderate height and open fronts to flatter throats.
