Four men died in a head-on crash on the Iowa Central one mile north of Gilford. Freight train split by Continental Limited at Lincoln Park tragedy
In Rochester on February 16 a freight train on the New York Central was struck as it moved from the Buffalo Rochester and Pittsburg line to No 3 track by the Eastbound Continental Limited. The engineer Nichol escaped with minor injuries while fireman Frel of Buffalo suffered a dislocated icea and Rochester fireman Charles Twist had an arm broken.
