Dowie's Methods Questioned in Zion Industries Receivership
In Judge Tuley's court Attorney Reeves opened closing arguments in the receivership suit on Zion Lace Industries. Reeves likened Dowie's control to a king and a hovering club over subordinates while urging the court to recognize the rights of numerous small investors, not only Dowie and his ally Samuel Stevenson. Packard noted Stevenson could extract about 50000 from Mrs Stevenson if he demanded the return of cash for her shares.
