Colorado Excursion Strands Hays Travelers to Denver
The Colorado Excursion on Thursday night took a gay party to the mountains for a ten day vacation with some paying extra for a thirty day stay. Due to rail demand no special car was available, trains ran at two a.m., and U P Railway contract limited cars were exhausted. Despite this, most travelers found seats aboard the train and 94 tickets were sold from Hays to Colorado points.

Altons Red Train Promises Luxurious Day Run KC to St Louis
The Alton introduces a red fully equipped train on the KC to St Louis route leaving Kansas City at 10:00 a.m. and reaching St Louis by 5:50 p.m. The consist includes a passenger car, parlor chair car, cafe and bullet smoking car, and Pullman observation car, all electric lit and cooled. Over 8000 travelers passed through the train on the first day, with a grand reception in KC the next day.
