Charley Laing bought pool rooms west of Zeigler store and turkey shoots planned next Tue/Wed with a field guns event. Haley phones added for Dr Catudal residence 78 and Sunflower Rest 69, plus Mrs J W Wood 44. Saline residents once leased mineral rights to Theodore Stegner and Chapman. the 99-year lease proved fraudulent and was cancelled after court action. Stegner, a mining promoter, was arrested in Kansas City on mail fraud charges related to mining properties in Arizona and will be tried in U.S. District Court.
