Russell football team meets Hays first eleven
On Tuesday morning the Russell football team accompanied by a number of supporters arrived and in the afternoon faced the Hays first eleven on the Normal field. It was the town’s best game, evenly matched with both clubs holding a hard fight. Hays scored first in the toss. the rest was a tight, point-free battle watched by a large crowd as players endured hard bumps with medical help nearby.
