Armistice Day Observance in 1920 Moves to Memorial Tone
Armistice services will be subdued with flags flown at half mast on Sunday November 14 as President Wilson orders memorial observances to honor fallen soldiers sailors and marines of the World War. Knights of Columbus notes describe Thanksgiving turkey dinner programs and dances, billiard table updates, and a second November meeting to discuss upcoming business. Saturday Afternoon Club features thrift program by Mr Middow of Kansas City and remarks by County Nurse Mrs Reed on child health and Red Cross donations. The club plans to meet November 18 at Mrs B M Speer’s home.
