Ellis County reports show Democrats won most county offices led by small margins. Brown and Mueller carried the county. Reeder and Ruppenthal race for judge remains close. Big Creek and surrounding townships reveal amendments pass rates, voter turnout near 430 in Big Creek and about 2000 countywide, with rapid reporting by phone. Local society events include plays, suppers, and church activities, plus notices on employment, rentals, and school personnel changes.
A 1891 retrospective notes Harry Saxton selling his ranche west of town to Chicago buyers and moving for World’s Fair business.
