Golden Belt Creamery and Ice Company of Hays, led by E R King and brothers C L and A A King, expanded with a $2000 300 gallon pasteurizer and a heavy duty ice cream freezer. They moved to the Andress Meier building on East Juniata, installed modern machinery, and purchased a Reo truck for deliveries. They pasteurize all milk and cream, ship ice cream toward Colorado and Dorrance, and buy cream from Ellin county farmers urging home industry patronage.

Shrine Day Leaves Hays Boosters Thrilled and Tired
The Salina Union reports a grand Shrine Day in Hays with 2700 Shriners plus 472 novices initiated in Sheridan Coliseum. Bands from multiple towns, a large parade, barbecue, open air vaudeville, and a banquet fed 2400 attendees in 40 minutes. The event featured Isis the bear, a grand procession, and a lively, united effort by townspeople, students, and faculty.
