Mrs Carrick recovers from a serious spell while Charlie Reeder’s family and many friends host open house. Forester Roger plans a spring honey locust seed program with orders due by March, and a large tree shipment is promised. Saum Bryant dissolution registered. Numerous local illnesses, moves, sign painting, new phone boxes, land claims, and community notices fill the week.
The label on every bottle lists iron and quinine as the ingredients in Grove's Tasteless Chill Tonic. It claims a no cure no pay guarantee and a price of 50 cents.
An advertisement by ED F. MADDEN promotes the sale of all male yearling calves from B Keplogle’s herd at reasonable prices on easy terms for 60 days before shipment west. Also mentions local officials and legislative activity regarding reservation matters and a contested political race in Topeka with witnesses and affidavits.
