County Attorney Ordered to Turn Over All Fees to County Treasurer
After a full trial the county attorney Nolen sued the county over more than 200 dollars in fees he had collected from whiskey and other cases. Commissioners Judd Griese and Gerken held up payment until he remitted. Judge Monroe ruled that under the new law the county attorney must pay to the county treasurer every dollar of fees collected. The Reform board said this saves the county over 200 dollars and will stand even if a lawsuit results.
