On Wednesday evening February 22 the Odd Fellows sponsor a social at the G. A. B. Ball. During court, Jne Waters asked the jury to drop the oath in trials, startling court reporter Rea and causing a pause in proceedings as the judge regained composure.
Due to a cold wave Mayor Scott could not attend last weekend but is here now and will speak this Saturday evening at the Methodist church. Admission is free and all are invited. He will also speak at the morning and evening services. The Hutchinson paper notes the church was utterly jammed for his remarks, calling it one of the finest ever heard in that city.
