Wheat Reservation and Wheat Farm Leases Terms
The Normal school law assigns wheat pasture to the Experimental station and most of the west half to the Normal for renting as wheat farms. Leases run five years, no favoritism, strict compliance, crops secured by June Ist, seeding by Oct Ist, cutting when ready, threshing by Sept Ist. Tenants haul loads daily. 30 farmers may get tracts, with iron posts marking land and a 40 foot road per section.
