Flu shot demand tests Ellis County supply
Crowds formed outside the Ellis County Health Department as about 1,000 flu vaccines remained from a nationwide shortage. Health administrator Butch Schlyer noted 4,500 doses were ordered but only 1,250 arrived, with portions allocated to a physician and local centers. By noon, about 500 shots were expected to be dispensed and the line had shortened inside.
