Norton man bound over for trial in park shooting rampage
A 37-year-old Norton man, Bobby J. Tallent, was bound over for trial on four charges including first-degree murder and attempted capital murder of a police officer after a six hour hearing. The March 6 Pool Park shooting left 48-year-old Joseph A. Sweet dead and prompted extended testimony. a second attempted capital murder charge was not bound over. A sixth charge may be upgraded after a truck theft value statement.
