Booster Seat Law Requires Young Children to Use Booster Seats
Governor Kathleen Sebelius signed House Bill 2611 to improve child passenger safety. The act, effective Saturday with a one year warning through July 1, 2007, requires 4 to 7 year olds under 80 pounds or under 4'9" to ride in a federal guideline compliant booster or appropriate restraint.
