Weekend Thunderstorm Outlook in Mild Heat
Extended outlook shows Sunday and Monday with a chance of thunderstorms. Lows range from the 60s in the west to the low 70s in the southeast, with highs reaching the upper 80s to mid 90s. Tuesday continues the thunderstorm risk, with similar cool to warm patterns and highs near 90s.
Four charged in nation's biggest pyramid scheme ever
Four community leaders linked to Bennett Funding Group faced charges for an office equipment leasing scam that prosecutors say stole about 700 million dollars from 12 000 investors across 46 states. The defendants include Patrick R Bennett and Michael A Bennett with others named Genovese and Poiffer. If convicted they face decades in prison. The SEC has already accused the firm of selling 570 million dollars of fraudulent securities and the company is under bankruptcy protection.
