The Kansas Board of Regents approved higher entry standards for KU freshmen starting fall 2016 with automatic admission for those earning at least a B average and committee review for others. Tuition across the six universities and KU Medical Center will rise by up to 6.9 percent to generate about $31 million annually to offset rising costs, with the largest increase for new out of state undergraduates.
A Topeka report lists undergraduate tuition increases across Kansas universities for the fall 2012 semester. Highlights include Fort Hays State University residents paying 1625 per semester, KU standard 4000, KU compact 4395, KU out-of-state 10421, Wichita State 2603, Pittsburg State 2193, Kansas State 3659, KSU Salina 3476, and Emporia State 2051, with varied percentage bumps for in state and out of state students.
