Richard Gerald Clark 80 of Richland Washington died Sunday June 6 2004 Born February 27 1924 in Hays Kansas He was a chemist for the Atomic Energy Commission Survivors include three sons a daughter two sisters and ten grandchildren He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth 1999 Memorials suggested to the American Cancer Society Roger Duane Richter 48 of Great Bend Kansas died June 16 2004 Born May 5 1956 in St John He worked as a truck salesman for Peterbilt and LLC Larsen GMC He is survived by his wife two sons his parents sister and grandmother Services set for June 22 at First Congregational Church of Christ Great Bend Memorials to Great Bend Relay for Life or Great Bend Kids Wrestling.

Officials settle jail lawsuit in Shawnee County

Shawnee County officials approve a 3 zero vote to settle a class action by about 100 plaintiffs jailed over 48 hours without a judge. The deal allocates 20 000 dollars to plaintiffs and 100 000 dollars to attorneys. The court policy now provides weekend judge availability.
