Kansas weather forecast calls for mostly sunny conditions on Friday across the state with daytime temperatures reaching the low to mid 80s. Light breezes and dry air are expected, promoting comfortable outdoor activities.
Kansas State University data shows overnight low 46 and record high 110 in 1988 with 24 hour precipitation to 11 am today. Mean temperatures, sunrise and sunset times, wind speeds recorded to 9 58 pm Tuesday are noted.

They noted two outgoing members Carlyle Thompson and Bill Bannister after eight years each and accepted resignations from multiple staff, while approving several transfers and provisional hires across schools.
Hill City invites single girls ages 10 to 16 and 16 to 23 to compete for its rodeo princess and queen at the Graham County Fair Grounds on July 30. Contest includes horsemanship, interview, and written test starting 6 a.m.. parade will precede the rodeo.
The Trego Arts Council presents Summer in the City at Courthouse Square in Wakeeney from 6 30 to 9 30 p m Tuesday. The Hays City Band will perform at 7 30 p m and admission is free The Art Walk starts at 6 30 p m in several downtown businesses Homemade ice cream will be sold by the Gamma Eta Chapter of ESA to fund local projects The event is supported by Trego Arts Council memberships and a Dane G Hansen Foundation Grant.
Arian Arnold known as The Hot Lady presents a 2 pm Sunday program at Oberlin’s Bohemian Hall on museum grounds. She will showcase hats and vintage costumes as the hall, currently under renovation, offers air conditioning.
Plainville VFW and VFW Auxiliary host their fifth annual benefit auction at 7 p.m. Saturday at the post home. A silent auction and open house begin at 2 p.m., with a roast beef dinner at 6:30 p.m. and a social hour 6 to 7 p.m. A Friday preview for contributors runs 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Opportunities for Kids in Oklahoma recognizes a list of volunteers and organizations for outstanding service to children in Ellis County.
