In Nashville AP reports guitarist and band members whispered on stage after winning for Stadium Arcadium at the Grammys. Al Gore says he met with RHCP for over an hour before the show to persuade them to perform at Live Earth, and they confirmed on stage.
John Mellencamp will join conductor Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops for the Fourth of July concert and Charles River fireworks. He will perform several hits as the CBS telecast of the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular airs live.
Riyo Mori, fresh from winning Miss Universe, hopes to join NBCs Heroes as Yaeko, a love interest for a main character. She described an audition where she read in English and Japanese and impressed casting officials.

Suspicious activity logged at Donald Drive Hall Street 16th Street East Seventh and East Seventh blocks. Water use violations on Haney Drive and Ash. Civil and criminal transport notices from Catharine and Dodge City.
Criminalist testifies no Spector DNA on the weapon used to kill Lana Clarkson. He notes the gun could have carried only Clarkson DNA due to a large blood smear nearby. Defense questions whether Spector’s DNA was present on the gun with no detection. Clarkson died Feb 3, 2003, from a single shot in Spector’s mansion foyer.
