Monday brings a chance of thunderstorms with lows from 55 to 65 west and 65 to 70 east. Highs range from 85 to 90 east and 90 to 95 west. Tuesday forecasts more thunderstorms across most areas with lows around 60 to 65 and highs in the 80s.

River lazy river flow upgrade at Hays park

Harvest: Cutting gains pace in Ellis County area

Beat reports faster field cutting will begin soon with more activity over the weekend in Ellis County. Russell, Trego and Ness counties saw no cutting yet and expect progress early next week.
