Glass Crusher Closed Saturday at Hays Center
Rex Berneking, coordinator at the Hays Environmental Center, says the glass crusher will be closed Saturday and reopen June 16 near the Pepsi Cola Bottling Co on East Highway 40. Glass can be sold for 14 cents per pound. Cent er asks residents to separate by color remove metal rings and lids and rinse the glass. Last Saturday about four tons were processed by the center.
