The forecast calls for Wednesday to be partly sunny with highs in the lower 90s and south winds 15 to 20 mph. Wednesday night brings partly cloudy skies and a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms with overnight lows in the upper 60s. Thursday remains partly sunny and breezy with highs in the lower 90s and lows in the mid 60s.
At the Sea Island summit in Georgia the Bush White House pressed for a quick UN Security Council resolution endorsing Iraqi sovereignty in three weeks and authorizing a multinational force. Rice said the deal between Iraq and the United States clarifies coordination under a U.S. commander with Iraqi input but no veto.
