Nepal police imposed a 12 hour curfew to avert further riots as investigations into Friday’s royal massacre stalled. Protesters fearing a lack of explanation marched toward the royal palace while critics questioned King Gyanendra’s legitimacy amid widespread mourning and security crackdowns.
Saudi Arabian Oil Minister Ali Naimi said OPEC will compensate for any crude supply shortage from Iraq. Delegates in Vienna planned to assess demand and set output, with OPEC aiming to hold at 24.2 million barrels daily. Saudi Arabia, OPEC’s biggest producer, can replace Iraq’s oil while others near limits. Iraq seeks to end UN controls after the 1990 Kuwait invasion, with shipments disrupted since December.

A $350 million three year commitment funds the Kansas Academy for Leadership in Technology to help Kansas schools integrate technology, train superintendents and principals, and develop data driven decision making.
