The Hays Police Department logged multiple incidents including motor vehicle accidents on private property and city streets, suspicious persons, alarms, harassment and credit card violations. Arrests listed include Brandon Cortez Kirksey 27 Wichita for failure to appear, Alex Feldkamp 20 Hays for disorderly conduct and other charges, Jordan Hibbs 23 Hays for theft and DUI, and several others from Hays and surrounding areas.
U.S. Rep Tim Huelskamp of Kansas announced nominations for eight Northwest District youths after interviews and board review. Jared Hachmeister of Natoma earned a Naval Academy nomination, Abbey Wolters of Atwood earned an Air Force Academy nomination. Huelskamp thanked the board and praised the nominees for their commitment to service.
Topeka based report says Jason Perker, a political organizer who aided a Democratic challenger in Kentucky, will become the Kansas Democratic Party executive director on January 3. He leaves the Kentucky party coordination campaign in Louisville to lead KDP programs and fundraising.
