Therapist who stalked soldier on Fort Riley gets probation
A therapist from Manhattan was sentenced to three years probation after pleading guilty to criminal restraint fleeing and eluding police criminal threat and illegally entering military property during January events. She admitted making sexual advances to a sergeant and sending threats, and a court document cited an acute psychotic episode. She must surrender her license. Woman pleads guilty to bank fraud in Topeka case
Amanda Baloch of Topeka pleaded guilty to one count of bank fraud for taking part in a scheme that harmed local banks and businesses by more than 400000 dollars. She must pay 55719 dollars in restitution. Co-defendant Junaid Iqbal was sentenced to time served and 40090 dollars restitution and faces deportation. Maqsood Baloch also pleaded guilty and is set for sentencing on February 13.

Kansas Star Casino cleared for controlled demonstration
MULVANE AP The Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission granted the Kansas Star Casino a conditional certificate for a controlled demonstration scheduled Friday after a Monday casino tour. The casino must complete at least one successful demonstration to qualify for opening, with plans to open December 26.
