Court Opens May 26 At Grangeville For District Court

Inds Steele announced district court will open at Grangeville on Monday May 26 and he aims to pass over all jury cases to the next term. He urged attorneys to unite to expedite proceedings. The federal court opened at Moscow earlier in the week and Idaho county jurors arranged to travel by Sunday train for Monday’s session. The Ladies Aid of the Presbyterian church will host the annual banquet for the Indies of the G L c club on Friday eve May 23.

Lucky escape from big fire at Graham furniture store

A fire alarm awakened downtown Monday night at nine thirty. The blaze started behind the furniture store on a balcony office, likely from a matches box, and burned a mattress before being controlled.
