Four people were wounded in a fatal shooting at the Beck home on North Hall Street. Clarence Walker, 26, was killed after a confrontation over a pending marriage to Helen Beck, 19. Splendid Home Destroyed Overnight in Town Fire
A large fire at eight o'clock Tuesday evening destroyed the W. H. Casady residence on a southern town eminence. Fire equipment moved slowly due to a frozen hydrant. all efforts failed to save the house. Occupant Joseph McDonald and family lost a well furnished home including a $600 Chickering piano. Insurance totaled $1,350 against an estimated value of $4,000. Origin undetermined. Mrs. McDonald was en route downtown when the fire started. No lives reported.
