Idaho Attorney General Clarifies Search Warrants Limits

In Bolne Idaho on November 26 attorney general Peterson issued guidance on enforcing the new liquor law Senate bill No 60. He states searches of private residences require probable cause and cannot be issued without clear evidence of illegal liquor sale or possession. He warns that warrants lacking such basis would be null and no protection for officers. The memo discusses constitutional protections against unreasonable searches and emphasizes intent to restrict searches to those allowed by existing law.

Private residence search limits and deer hunting report

A state law interpretation questions search warrants on private residences for liquor cases while two hunting parties report large deer average sizes.
