Hatchett Creek dredging bid favors Midway Construction

City aims Hatchett Creek dredging from treatment plant to Venice Bay Mobile Home Park may start in early April after bids opened. Midway Construction Sarasota submitted the low bid at 47000 dollars, with five bids total and Warren Brothers at 88900 dollars high. The city will request council award and HUD approval before work begins, with an estimated six to eight weeks to finish.
