Permit Sought For Channel Cut At Venice Bay Trailer Park
Roy DeRoche owner of Venice Bay Trailer Park seeks Army permission to dredge a 395 foot long by 50 foot wide channel from Intracoastal Cut 16 to Hatchet Creek. About 4000 cubic yards of spoil would be dumped upland on his property. The project would be the second dredging of the same channel after a spill from an adjoining spoil area partially refilled the channel. Norfolk Dredging Co officials cited no way to prevent the spillover and the second dredge would cost about 1009 dollars more.
