April Cancer Crusade extended to reach $9000 goal
April is National Cancer Month and South County volunteers led by Mrs Charles McG Roberts extend the 1967 Cancer Crusade solicitation to meet a $9,000 target for South County including Englewood. At present $5,229 has been raised and volunteers are urged to cover areas quickly. Gifts may be mailed to Mrs Roberts Nokomis or left with Mrs Lumley at Venice Nokomis Bank. The Cancer Society now serves 17 patients in the area.
