Gone To His Reward Pioneer Chesterfield Gupton Dies at 87
Chesterfield Gupton, a Crook county pioneer, died at 9:00 p.m. Saturday March 13 1909 at the home of his son J C Gupton 25 miles north of the city. Born January 26 1822 in Logan County Kentucky he was 87 years 1 month 15 days old. He married Rebecka Sawyers in 1845 and Katherine Ewing in 1865, father to nine children and abundant grandchildren. Funeral at the Baptist church Tuesday at 10 o clock with Rev Geo T Gibson delivering the sermon. The family thanks neighbors for assistance during illness and after the death.

Theodore A. Fox and Miss Anna Lohse, both of Clearmont, were quietly married at 2 p.m. Monday in the home of Al Mann at 939 South Custer street. Justice Story tied the knot. The groom works in the livery business and has lifelong ties to Clearmont and Crook county. The bride has long resided in Clearmont and is well regarded. The couple left for Clearmont on the train No. 42 and are greeted by many friends.

William M. Baird of Gillette Wyoming purchases the Olivet Ranch at Duarte from Gerald Purcell Fitzgerald. The 100 acre Duarte estate features terraces of orange groves a reinforced concrete 12 room dwelling a concrete tennis court extensive gardens and a one million gallon reservoir. Baird plans a winter home and intends to continue the Patrick orange brand with shipments to eastern markets. The deal value is estimated near $100000.
