Lloyd George outlines Irish home rule plan in Commons

Premier Lloyd George presented details of an Irish home rule bill proposing two parliaments for Ireland north and south with a connecting council. Double Silver Medal Contest At Baptist Church

A Friday evening program at the Baptist Church hosted a double silver medal contest for Gillette school sixth and seventh graders. Jessamine Tarver won the sixth grade medal and Don Wakeman earned the seventh. Judges were Mrs W D June Mrs B B Perkins and Mr E O Hibler with Mrs Elwood Anderson presiding. The event featured student performances, soloists, ensembles and a pantomime with medals presented by Mr Wanerus.

Gamble Heads Interchurch Work in Campbell County

Land sale sets record price at Powder River bids

Mrs Florence B Waisner paid 76 per acre for 274 acres on Powder River at a public sale by Commissioner A Baker. The non irrigated land was appraised at 40 per acre. Waisner's brother in law A Waisner competed. Total acreage sold reached two thousand two acres. Sheridan Enterprise reports.

Northern Wyoming Telephone Company moves to new Gillette quarters

The Northern Wyoming Telephone Company relocates to the Odd Fellows Building on the second floor. Linemen install 1000 feet of new cable and a new switchboard will be added to provide 24 hour metallic service with connections from Gillette. Plant manager E W Underwood aims to expand poles next spring to handle more lines. Randers anticipates toll connections to county areas soon as ranchers press for improved systems.

Brakeman Summers Injured In Switching Accident

Gillette to Form Local Community Band
