Gastonia Council Debates Zoning and Local Affairs
The Gastonia council declined Alaca’s zoning request for a skating rink and referred Black to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Officials planned traffic light installations on Chester Street and Venus Avenue, noting light traffic justified the lights. The council invited members to a regional NG0 League of Municipalities meeting next Thursday in Andby and set a May 30 budget study meeting to fix a tentative tax rate.
