Mrs. G N Henson, 698 01 Rutherfordton, died Friday morning at 4 in a local hospital after a long illness. Formerly of Gastonia she was widow of G N Henson, long in Gastonia banking. Survived by two sons W M Henson and G N Henson Jr plus two daughters Mrs FE Perry of Belmont and Mrs C H Thomason of Columbia SC. Funeral Saturday at 11 at Spindair Methodist Church with burial at Waynesville cemetery. Body at Keeters Funeral Home Rutherfordton. Born August 27, 1889 in Waynesville.

Thieves Steal About $300 From Dallas Grocery
Dallas police say Carl Cloninger & Sons grocery was broken into on Thursday night. Thieves drilled floors and doors, pried the safe, and escaped with about $300 in cash and a drawer containing $65 in checks. Chief Arnold Edison led the investigation with Deputy Ed Groves. detection followed a bakery delivery man reporting a door left ajar Friday morning. The case mirrors a prior Stanly theft using a drill and crowbar.
