Pipe Line Co Lets Contracts For Station Plant
Pipe Line Co awarded three contracts last week for enlarging a pumping station at Lowell. Poke W. Can wiruciio Comming of Avanta secured the general contract, White Electric Company of Atlanta won the electrical work, and the Latex Company of Georgia, also of Atlanta, took the piping contract. Construction starts Thursday to add a 24 foot wing and install two 600 horsepower pumps, increasing capacity to support new 14 1/2 foot equipment. The project aims to boost pumping capacity to Greenshar stations along Mantatlon's new byway pipeline.

A weekend storm snarled highways and sent multiple drivers to hospitals in a series of crashes near Lincolnton and Gastonia.
